ABOUT

Jack Milton is a Halifax, West Yorkshire born rapper, spoken word artist, music producer, video director and performer.

Sporting a great balance of carefully constructed instrumentation, positive vibes, complex lyrical skill, and live finesse, Jack Milton captures the rawness of what makes Hip-Hop unique in his music, whilst integrating musical inspiration from his Yorkshire roots, and his satirical approach to life's hardships through the use of punch lines and humorous metaphors.

After getting his first taste of buzz in 2015, featuring on BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire with his track "Golden", as well as on online music channel ontsofa.com and MADE TV’s “All Star Unplugged” show on which he and his band performed and had an on air interview discussing his journey so far, Jack was put forward for Breakthrough 2015 and was one of 5 winners which were narrowed down from 100 entries.

In late 2015, Jack applied for the
Words First scheme in association with BBC Radio 1Xtra for emcees & spoken word artists, and was accepted as one of 12 to attend a week of workshops. After performing a spoken word piece live at Leeds City Library in October, which was filmed by 1Xtra and the Roundhouse LDN, Jack then went on to gain his first national radio slot as Track of the Week on BBC Radio 1Xtra with his song "Name Down"

2016 saw the release of Jack's long anticipated solo album, "The Impossible Job". Since then, Jack has been bouncing from pillar to post, performing at various events and festivals around the country, and will soon be releasing a brand new EP, featuring his latest track "Pound For Pound", produced by acclaimed lyricist, producer and Guinness World Record holding beatboxer, Testament
